| Clay Sculpture Class |

| The Friends of East Kingston Library is offering a Clay Sculpturing Class led by Richard Summers of East Kingston. Richard studied and worked under Frau Waltraud Suckow, well-know sculptor in Germany and Richard Frisbee, former Director of Fine Arts in Lynchburg, Virginia Fine Arts Center. The classes are offered for children from ages 10 and up who want to learn how to work with clay and create art sculptures. Class includes all supplies and firing of the final piece. Class will be held on Saturday, February18, 2012 from 10:00 to 12:00 at the East Kingston Library. |

Come Cook Up Some Cajun Cuisine! In honor of Mardi Gras, The Friends of the East Kingston Library are hosting a Cajun Cooking Class. Roberta Daly, your talented instructor, will help you create a Fat Tuesday menu, including: Cajun Meatball Appetizers, Black-eyed Pea Salsa, Jambalaya, Bananas Foster, Louisiana Pralines, Creole Sauce, Hurricane Cocktail Punch, and more! Is your mouth watering yet? This Cajun event is on Thursday, February 23, at 6:00 PM at the Lloyd's house, 1 Pine Woods, East Kingston. The cost is $35 and you can sign up at the East Kingston Public Library. Fee is due at the time of sign up and is non-refundable. Limited space - so sign up soon.
